Great Plains One Call hosts North American Telecommunications Damage Prevention Council Welcome Reception
On June 30th, 2009 Great Plains One Call/Digger’s Hotline of Nebraska welcomed representatives of the North American Telecommunications Damage Prevention Council to Omaha, Nebraska for the organization’s 3rd Quarter Meeting. The event, held at the Upstream Brewery in the Old Market District, provided a venue for all attending to meet and greet in advance of the 3rd Quarter Annual meeting hosted by Union Pacific Railroad on July 1st and July 2nd.
A full day’s agenda was presented during the NTDPC Quarterly meeting on July 1st. Topics discussed included: Ticket screening, Railroad Trend Analysis, Locate Technology in Damage Prevention, Damage Claims, Positive Train Control and Common Ground Alliance Committee updates.
Susan Lynch, Director of Digger’s Hotline provided a presentation titled, “Managing One Call Costs without Jeopardizing Damage Prevention Efforts”. The information focused upon utilizing available data tools to spend smarter and minimize the need to raise One Call ticket prices in today’s economy.
